...Much like the Golden Globes I've always been more interested in the beauty on the red carpet than the award ceremony, but yes we mustn't forget those who were nominated and those who won, I did cheer for you!
Bold colours, beaded gowns and the usual injection of daring cleavage plunges all made an appearance. I've picked my favourite gowns that sashayed down the carpet, so lets take a look...
Emma Stone won off and on the red carpet in this Alexander McQueen gown.
Stone looked young and sexy but sophisticated in this sheer panelled, corset style dress. Although the top half does look like 'the beast' has had his claws to it, the lingerie underneath make it worth while and her beauty empowers the carpet.
The sheer lace material adds another dimension to the dress and draws your eye to her tiny waist, and although velvet isn't really 'my thing' bringing together a dainty and heavy material somehow works, she looks amazing, well done McQueen!
Gina Rodriguez
Gina Rodriguez looked insane in this unusual PatBo number.
Covered in humming birds this PatBo dress is oh so striking, the style perfectly fits her shape and with nearly invisible spaghetti straps this dress looks as if stuck to her body. Sexy!
Rodriguez radiates beauty and with her hair casually tied back it doesn't take away from the busy print on the dress, well done Gina you look amazing!
Kate Hudson
Some people say, "If the fashion is bold, tone down the make up" on this occasion I have to disagree. Kate proves you can do both and turned heads in this sheer Dior dress with plum lips!
The gown featured sheer panelling above and below her bust as well as a cape detailing at the shoulders, she also added an over sized floral detail at the waist for a splash of colour that matched her lips.
She'd struggle to loose a guy in 10 days with this dress and anyway, she's my girl crush!

Kaley Cuoco
It's no theory, its fact that Haley Cuoco looked like a mermaid princess (I don't think there's such thing but we can pretend) in this sheer blush dress, her toned physique fits perfectly into the flirty gown, with that and her blonde locks she is slayingggg!
The dress featured a silk bow at the neck and streaks of teal tulle at the bottom that mixed with the blush fabric. Kaley tied her hair back but left two blonde locks draped around her face, she left her make-up to a minimum and accessorised with Le Vian jewels.
When I saw this dress I instantly fell in love, although very girly I love the pink lace bodycon insert and the tulle material which elegantly falls to the floor and around her, it's so fairytale I want one!

It seems everything sheer and embellished took centre stage on the SAG red carpet this year, and shine did it just. If the Golden Globes were the warm up and the SAG awards were the sprint, I'm intrigued and excited to see what the Oscars has to offer. Let the countdown begin....
